Wedding Make Up at MAC Dublin
A few months ago, I took a trip into MAC at Arnotts, with one very clear question in mind: what is the Wedding Make Up at MAC Dublin experience really like here?
With so many couples choosing to get married in Dublin city centre, I thought it was well worth popping in to see how MAC caters for brides on their wedding day or hen…whatever the occasion, especially when it comes to convenience, expertise and results. And I have to say, it did not disappoint.

Why the Wedding Make Up at MAC Dublin Makes So Much Sense for City Brides
One of the biggest advantages of MAC at Arnotts is that they have bridal-specialist makeup artists working on site. That means you can do your makeup trial in the same location where you can also return on the morning of your wedding.
For Dublin city weddings, this is a huge win. No early morning travel, no unfamiliar setting on the day itself, just consistency and calm. You already know the artist, they know your skin, and the look is tried and tested.
Another major plus? Stock and shade availability. Because you’re working within the MAC Arnotts space, you have access to an entire floor of product. There’s no issue with shades being out of stock or not quite right! Every tone, undertone and texture is right there.
I had the pleasure of having my makeup done by Áine, an incredibly experienced MAC artist who truly understands the nuances of bridal makeup.

The appointment started with skin prep. Cleanse, tone, moisturise and prime. Skin prep is everything, and Áine took her time to understand my skin, how makeup wears on me and what kind of finish I was hoping for.

From there, she really painted a picture of glow. Not heavy, not mask-like, but luminous, polished and long-wearing. It was one of those looks that made me feel like myself, just elevated, which is exactly what most brides are looking for.
And yes… it also resulted in me leaving with far more products than I had planned. Consider yourselves warned. (I bought half the shop!)
When you book, you can book one of the 60-90 minute appointments AND the appointment fee is redeemable against product!
One of the lovely things about doing a makeup trial in the city is that you can turn it into a full experience. After my appointment at MAC, I popped across to Jo Malone London for a wedding scenting experience, something I always recommend to couples.
There’s something really special about tying a scent to your wedding memories, and having both experiences back-to-back made the day feel like a proper bridal treat rather than just a task to tick off.
My 4 Must-Haves for Every Bride’s Bag on the Day

Here are the 4 MAC staples I highly recommend having with you on your wedding day:
- Blotting pressed powder compact- critical as the day progresses!
- A lipstick or gloss for touch-ups – there is a gorgeous new lipstick type called Metamorphosis and the cover is white – ideal for the big day.
- Lip liner (this makes all the difference)
Having these on hand means you’re never panicking between photos, hugs and dancing.
If you’re getting married in Dublin city centre, or even nearby, MAC at Arnotts is absolutely worth considering for your bridal makeup. Between the expertise of the artists, the convenience of location, and access to every shade imaginable, it offers a really seamless and reassuring experience.
And when it comes to your wedding day, feeling confident, comfortable and like yourself is everything.
