WeddingsOnline Awards 2018
Well I had a ball at the recent Weddingsonline Awards. This is my third year to be involved as a judge. This year saw some exceptional talent and many new services coming on stream.
The awards took place on Monday February 19th at CityNorth Hotel, during a glamorous black tie gala ceremony co-hosted by TV Presenter Lisa Cannon and sponsored by wedding planning software Moposa.
The country’s top wedding businesses and services gathered at the prestigious event to celebrate the winners of Ireland’s leading wedding awards.
Creative wedding photographers Couple Photography and Castlemartyr Resort, the luxurious 5 star hotel in Co. Cork, were the two overall winners of the 9th annual weddingsonline Awards.
Over 25,000 couples voted for their favourite suppliers and venues in a range of categories, who were then judged by a panel of digital marketing professionals and wedding industry experts. Judges this year were MOI! Ciamh McCrory, digital & communications guru, Bláithín O’ Reilly Murphy, author & award-winning Wedding Planner (she is amazing BTW), and Yvonne Murray, founder of management consulting firm YDM.ie.
The 35 categories in the weddingsonline Awards 2018 include a range of wedding services offered to engaged couples nationwide, from venues and bands, to flowers and cakes.
“The annual weddingsonline Awards which are now in their 9th year, have become the industry standard, rewarding the dedication, professionalism and exceptional service given by the Irish wedding industry,” said Peter Bryans, MD of weddingsonline. “I know that all involved, both nominees and winners alike, are honoured that their commitment and hard work has been acknowledged by couples all over the country. It’s a wonderful achievement.”
