It’s been a while since my college days when lecturers would constantly bring up the wonder that is Sheen Falls. I always told myself, “One day, I’ll visit.” Fast forward to the present, and I found myself being invited to this iconic hotel for the unveiling of their latest addition, The Ring of Kerry Golf Club. While Sheen Falls has been a beloved wedding spot for many over the years, now they have this fresh amenity.

The Hotel Experience:

Before we delve into the new golf club, let’s chat about Sheen Falls. The location is, in a nutshell, a dream. With a waterfall by its side flowing into the River Sheen, it’s a sight for sore eyes. The service? Nothing short of impeccable. It finally clicked why my lecturers were always raving about this place. From the moment you check in, to every small interaction, there’s someone well-dressed, warm, and ready to assist. What truly struck a chord with me were the little touches: the in-room yoga mat, the classic decor that screams luxury, all combined with the genuine warmth of a Kerry welcome.

For soon-to-be-marrieds, the hotel offers a range of options tailored to weddings of different scales. Whether it’s a grand celebration in their restaurant or a more intimate affair in a cozy suite, there’s something for everyone.

Let’s talk about Sheen Falls’ new addition. If I had to sum it up?

“View Goals.” It is unreal.

The Club House, perched amidst the sprawling golf greens, offers this intimate charm. But, as soon as you step inside, it’s that sweeping view of Kenmare Bay through the expansive glass facade that truly takes your breath away. And for those looking for the perfect wedding shot, the choices are endless. I even bumped into local photographer, Nick Cavanagh, who seemed to know just the right spots. The decor, masterfully set up by Aoife of Blue Blossom Creative for the showcase, highlighted how versatile and theme-friendly the space really is.
