Review – Morrison Hotel Dublin
Let me start by saying that I love a girlie afternoon or evening in The Morrison Hotel. It is perfectly located near the shops yet far enough away to not be crowded and uncomfortable. It is a real treat and the cocktail menu is awesome.
I was at a work event there very recently and took the opportunity to check out their wedding offering. It is the ultimate ‘cool’ city wedding venue. I can picture a City Hall ceremony followed by a jazz reception and then gourmet meal right here. It’s understated yet even though it is a very visually cool venue, it is very warm and friendly. You often see so many Boutique Hotels sacrificing substance over style, this isn’t the case for the Morrison.
This venue can take up to 180 guests in their Print Works suite and that leads out to a private courtyard for your guests. The Halo suite has the iconic statue in the centre which you will see in the pictures below. That room can take up to 85 guests. I saw a wedding in the Halo Suite the day I was there and it looked really well. There is space available for civil ceremonies too.
I love eating in the Grill, the menu is right up my street and it is really tasty. From what i’ve seen, the chef is really flexible so if you want a specific food theme for your wedding, no doubt they will deliver!
In terms of pricing, it wasn’t bad at all. I expecting to be hit with the high city centre rates and it was very reasonable. The Pink Wedding Package starts at €74 per guest and that includes the works….meal, wine, bar extension….you name it. I thought it was very good value. I then spotted a new package for winter called ‘Fire and Ice’ and that one offers all that you will need and its from €68 per guest. You can avail of this from November 2017 to February 2018.
