Real Wedding – Sinead and Martin

The Engagement

Having met by chance in a mutually locally pub and not realising that they lived only 3 miles from each other, for the engagement they went further afield to the Cliffs of Moher where Martin got down on one knee and popped the question. Luckily, Sinead said yes and now we get to enjoy their real wedding story.

The Planning

Langtons House Hotel was their number one choice, they fell in love when they attended a friends wedding. They knew that this was were they would celebrate their big day. They gave 2 years to plan as Sinead was expecting their beautiful little girl. Once the hotel was confirmed, they moved straight to band, photographer and the main date sensitive pieces. Sinead was one of the lucky ones to find her dress on her first visit to Lilac Rose Bridal in Kilkenny. The hotel provided the couple with a list of recommended suppliers so that made life a lot easier for them.

The Big Day

“We had the most beautiful day which is unusual for late September”

Sinead and her bridal party chose to get ready in Langtons House Hotel for ease. Sinead and Martin opted to do a ‘First Look’ at Kilkenny Castle and you will see from the pictures, it was a really special moment.

A priority for Sinead and Martin was to be able to spend time with their family and friends, they didn’t want to lose time getting hours of photography so the first look was perfect. They got to really get in to the party with their guests and had a blast. Being with their nearest and dearest was the most special touch to the day, the value of time together was the most important. The big talking point was the dessert buffet which involved having its own room and where guests could go and pick their own desserts. A real treat!
