Introducing Laura & Aoife’s Real Wedding Story.

How They Met:

“Where all good love stories start… a gay club! 😂”

The Engagement:

Aoife booked a room in The Merchant, got champagne. Laura was none the wiser what was about to happen… a proposal.

“Aoife was acting a bit weird all day, but she always is a bit weird, so it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary 🤣. It was just so intimate in the hotel suite and was perfect!” says Laura.

Starting the Preparations:

They started with the venue. Aoife had seen that The Rabbit had just opened its doors, and it was the first place they went to look at. They instantly fell in love, so they basically planned the whole thing around it!

The Planning Process:

“Honestly, we picked the perfect vendors because everything was so easily planned. I hear of wedding planning being stressful, but that just wasn’t the case for us because it was all so easy. We were in great hands!” Laura shared.

The Big Day:

“Omg… where do I even start! It was an amazing day from start to finish! Aoife arrived in a Dodge Charger. The ceremony by Fleur was so perfect and set the tone perfectly for the day. Music by Rachel was amazing as well; she sang “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey as Laura walked up the aisle, and everyone raved about how dramatic and emotional it was!”

The entertainment was a different level! They had fire breathers throughout the day and during the drinks reception, they had a drag show that really got everyone going! (Ehh where was my invite!!!)

Their good pal Ryan A took to the DJ decks with Laura on saxophone, now that’s what you call a party.

The Honeymoon:

They’re going to Japan in October 2024!

If They Could Do It Again:

“If I could somehow make the day last even longer, I would!”

Advice for Those Just Starting Their Wedding Journey:

“It sounds cliché, but just enjoy it! The day goes so fast, so savor every moment! It will always work out on the day, and if something doesn’t go 100% to plan, no one will know anyway! Everyone is there for you, and remember that. It’s honestly is the best day of your life! Love every second!”
