Real Wedding: Jane & Colm

You are very welcome to the wedding of Jane Park (Sin Hee) and Colm Tang (Kai Lun)’s. It’s not every day we get to take an inside look at such a unique wedding. Their wedding took place at the Westgrove Hotel. With deep cultural roots and and a love story that started way back in secondary school, their October wedding was the perfect mix of Irish charm and beautiful rituals from their heritages.

How They Met
Colm, from Ireland with Hong Kong heritage, and Jane, originally from South Korea, met during their school days in Ireland by having mutual friends, and were actually introduced to each other by the best man at their wedding! What started as teenage friendship shortly blossomed into a romance, and years later, they said “I do” in a wedding that felt entirely their own.
The Venue
After exploring several options, the couple found everything they were looking for at The Westgrove Hotel in Co. Kildare. They discovered the venue at a wedding fair and immediately felt it was the one. From the very beginning, it was clear that this venue could bring their cross-cultural vision to life, honouring tradition while keeping things relaxed and modern.
“We loved the space, the packages suited our budget, and Lorna’s warmth and professionalism really stood out…….We knew we were in safe hands.”

The Ceremony & Celebration
Lorna helped organise something extra special: a traditional Ritual Tea Ceremony, known as Ging Chaa in Hong Kong and Pyebaek in Korea.
“It was really important for both of us to include this in our day. It symbolises respect, gratitude, and welcoming each other into our families. We kept it short and intimate, offering tea to our parents only. The blessings and wishes they shared with us were so meaningful.”
The Dress(es) and Details
Jane and Colm brought serious style to their wedding day with not one, but two incredible looks.
For the ceremony, Jane wore a beautiful white gown with delicate floral lace detailing and layers that added that princess look. Colm opted for a mauve three-piece suit.
Later in the day, the couple changed into more traditional attire to honour their Asian heritage. Jane wore a pink dress that blended cultural tradition with a contemporary twist, while Colm wore a traditional red piece.
When it came to music, rather than going the traditional band route, Jane and Colm created a Spotify playlist filled with their favourite songs, ensuring the soundtrack to their celebration was completely their own.
Planning the Big Day
“Lorna made it so easy, she guided us through everything, and our friends were a huge help too.”
