Real Wedding – Chantelle and Rory
Their eyes met across a tattoo machine…..
“If we did it all again we wouldn’t change a thing, to us the whole day was perfect, we have a marriage that makes us smile and be grateful everyday.” Chantelle
This love story started when Chantelle walked in to a tattoo shop where Rory worked. By 2014, Rory popped the question in a very romantic setting, Glenbarrow Waterfall and organised Joe Conroy Photography to capture the moment that Chantelle said yes.
After some celebrations, Chantelle and Rory got straight down to business asking friends and family for advise on what they needed to do in terms of planning. First item on the list was to source their wedding venue and book their priest. Whilst the initial stages were a little overwhelming, they tried their best not to get stressed out and enjoy the moment.
Like most couples, once they started planning they began to realise how much work was involved. To get on top of the organisation, they very cleverly set out dedicated days as a couple and they worked collaboratively through the to-do list.
It wasn’t long before their team work paid off and before they knew it they had their paperwork, flowers, accessories and much more sorted.
Both Chantelle and Rory really wanted the day to be fun and relaxed. They tried to not sweat the small stuff and when they made a decision, they stuck to it and moved on. Like all wedding couples, they couldn’t have done it without the help of their family.
The wedding day was simply spectacular. Both admitted that the nerves were in full flight on the morning but once they met at the top of the aisle, they nerves went away and they relaxed. Fr Murphy gave a nice and relaxed ceremony and put everyone at ease. Not to mention, the main man Pope Francis sent a blessing courtesy of one of their guests.
The venue of choice was Ballintubbert House which is located in Laois. This is a very unique venue. They specialise in Bespoke weddings and have stunning grounds for your wedding photographs. You will see what I mean when you see Joe Conroys pictures of Chantelle and Rorys big day!
Chantelle and Rory were able to tailor their wedding to suit what they wanted. They booked a highly reputable caterer – Eddie Nolan of Delish in Athy.
For their music, they opted to go with a DJ for the wedding but followed by a private music session. After the DJ, they gathered guitars and sat out by the fire pits and listened to Rory and friends. How amazing is this!!??
When it came to honeymoon, they kept it chilled and opted to relax in Ireland.
“Our advise to people planning is stay calm, to remember its your day and your marriage, to not get caught up on the small details, have your dream wedding with your best friend and always stick together and talk about everything.” Chantelle & Rory
A note from the happy couple
