Getting Your Hair In Shape For Your Wedding
I met Ciara on a bridal photoshoot in The Station House Hotel and Belinteer House Hotel. Ciara was styling hair to beat the band and was completely immune to the doses of hair spray in the room. I asked her for some advise on getting your hair in shape for your wedding and in a later blog i will give you Ciara’s tips on what to expect on a hair trial.
Getting Your Hair in Tip Top Shape:
Ciara has some very basic and easy to follow steps.
1. Get a Trim every 8-10 weeks. That will keep the split ends at bay and thicken up your hair nicely.
2. When you are getting your trims get a treatment or alternatively there are plenty of home treatments such as Revlon Hydro Mask and Wella SP Range. Try and go for hydrating treatments as much as you can.
3. When you are washing your hair, leave your conditioner in. Comb it through and then wrap up in a hot towel. The heat will help open up the hair so that the conditioner/treatment will penetrate deeply into the hair. Leave for 10 – 20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Ciara finds it helpful to give it a cool rinse at the end to close the cuticles and it is also very refreshing!
4. When styling your hair, use a heat protector to minimise damage and breakage. She loves Catwalk Sleek Heat Protector.
There are some products that Ciara loves and cannot live without. As mentioned before, Revlon and Wella are Ciara’s favourite brands.
She let me in on a secret and told me about ‘UNIQUE 1’. It is Revlons first ever leave in TREATMENT. It is a ten in one product. It does exactly what it says on the bottle! It’s a split-end preventer, colour protector, de-tangler, heat protector, anti frizz, adds shine….the list goes on! Now that is some saving, i have a bottle for each of those unfortunate hair ailments!
