Introducing Avalon House Hotel

So what is it that makes Avalon House such a gem? Well, it’s beauty for one!

What once stood as a manor dating back to the 19th century has now been beautifully restored and transformed in to a beautiful boutique wedding venue and hotel in Kilkenny. It embraces the vintage but embarks to modern living with some contemporary touches.

A firm favourite with guests, Larks Bar is a cosy setting with decorative interesting curiosities and trinkets (they’re also a huge hit with their local guests!) ‘Nature to Plate’ is their culinary motto, and their reputation for food supports their commitment to local and fresh produce.

Decorative features aside and down to the important wedding items, ultimately weddings come first and that’s why they have a one wedding per day policy so yours and only your wedding will be the sole and only priority on the day.

Like all venues, pictures can never do it the full justice it deserves so make sure to go and visit. Avalon House offer private viewings for couples.

What can you expect at Avalon House’s Private Wedding Viewing?

First and foremost, you’ll get to view the venue as it would appear on your big day. Everything is laid out for you to see clearly so that you can imagine your day. This helps you bring your vision to life.

Some of the key features of the venue will be on show:

There is an outdoor area known as ‘The Fire Station’. A popular choice for couples, this area serves for different uses. Many use this space for their Civil Ceremony celebration as well as a summer drinks reception.

For those who prefer an indoor drinks reception, The Library will be on show as well as Larks bar.

Couples will also get to view guest bedrooms including the stunning bridal suite.

Last but not least, the contemporary ballroom will be fully set along with some different top table ideas for inspiration.
