With that being said, that was circa 2006 and favours have come a long way since the good old bag of almonds. Today, there is an unbelievable choice of wedding favours and most are very memorable. On the other side of the coin, if you are trying to keep within a budget, favours can be a step too far and may not be on the top of your list. A lot of favours double up as place names as well.

Wedding Glasses as DIY Wedding Favours
For my own wedding, I bought glasses and hand painted the bases and wrote each guests name on their glass which acted as a place setting and take home favour. I needed glasses anyway as we did a DIY wedding so it worked out very economical to do that. The glasses in total were apx €200 from IKEA, the glass paint was €25 and the glass marker was €8. The main requirement was time and effort. A third of people took their glasses and I was left with the rest. The investment wasn’t too large so I don’t feel that I lost money, plus all the glasses were used![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
