Pantone colour of the year – Ultra Violet

Every year, those colour trend setters at Pantone set the ‘Colour of the year’. Last year ‘Greenery’ was the colour and this represented a new beginning and zest for life.

Ultra Violet isn’t too far off this sentiment…

“It’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today,” said Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute. Not, note, “what’s going on in our world today.” Which is kind of an interesting distinction. It suggests that Pantone is not just observing and predicting, it’s going proactive.“

Whilst it is difficult to model the exact ultra violet colour in to your wedding, there are plays on the purple palette that would work well. I love using a few core purple tones together.
